Company values
What we will not trade away
An assurance business that bends under commercial pressure is worth nothing to the people relying on it. These are the constraints we accept in order to be useful.
Our values
Integrity
We report what we find. Findings are not softened for commercial convenience, and an inconvenient result is still the result.
Independence
We do not build, tune or operate the systems we assess. Structural separation is what gives an Entercept opinion its value.
Evidence
Every conclusion traces to a recorded observation under stated conditions. Assertions without evidence do not enter a report.
Transparency
Methods, thresholds and limitations are declared. If we could not observe something, the report says so as plainly as it says the rest.
Innovation
AI capability moves quickly, so assessment methods have to as well. Our detectors and methodology are versioned, reviewed and continuously extended.
Trust
Trust is the product. It is earned through records that outlast the engagement and can be verified by someone who has never met us.
In practice
Where these values cost us something
Values are only real where they are inconvenient. These are three places ours are.
We publish a non-compliant specimen
Our sample report concludes that the system assessed fails five mandatory safeguards. Showing only clean results would misrepresent what an honest assessment produces.
We state what we could not observe
Every report carries a limitations section as prominent as the findings. An assurance report that overstates its own coverage is worse than none at all.
We do not sell remediation
We tell you what needs to change and why. Fixing it is your work or your chosen supplier's, because an assessor who profits from the fix is no longer independent.
